Weigh loss journey

Hi guys! I haven't posted in a very long time. I love traveling with my husband.
I started my weight loss journey in August of 2012. I have lost 54 pounds. I started out with a Curves
Workout three times a week. When my husband was laid off and we went back to working a normal 40 hour week jobs, I went to our local Curves twice a week on lunch. I realized that as long as I got it in during my "work" day, I would actually stick with it.

I loved seeing progress. I loved watching my body contor as my muscles started forming. I know we all have our daily things we have to do. Some of y'all will say, well you don't have kids so it's easier for you. No, it's not...it's just that I am motivated enough to actually do it. Whether you are the type of person that needs to workout in the morning before your household wakes up, the one who needs to do it in the middle of the day ( which gives you the boost of energy that is really great and helps with moods to get you through the rest of the day), or the one who waits till the end of the day to get their workout in and then takes a shower and then sleeps so great they are well rested and ready for the day in the morning. Whatever, works.....just DO IT!
Also, don't "diet" I just cringe when I hear people are dieting. It's a psychological thing.  You need to make good food choices. Did I cut out soda? No. Did I cut out fast food? No. I made choices to eat LESS at those places and drink less soda. I still visited McDonald's at least twice a week if not more. You know what I ordered? A crispy chicken wrap, small fries and a water. Plenty of food. You don't need to eat it all just because its brought out to you. Smarter, healthier portions of all the food you enjoy will get you where you need to be.
Good luck and remember just being motivated to move is the first step. Working out can become a habit and it feels amazing!

Here are some pics. I can't believe the difference.

Here a recent "selfie" so you can see the difference in my face.

This photo was taken on Thanksgiving day! Its a journey not a sprint and it can be done!

Catching up!

HELLO!

Man, I haven't posted in a long time; like JULY! So, lets talk a little bit about what's going on in life. We have bought a new truck; well a new to us truck. its a 2005 Dodge Cummins Diesel!

We are brain storming together on a business to do when we are done pipelining!  I am so excited that my husband in on my bandwagon, with some help from one of his best friends!

For those of you who know me, know that we have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time now. 4 years of unprotected sex and 1 year of OPK (ovulation predictor kits) and making sure that sex is timed. I have started seeing a homeopathic dr. However, I will talk more about that in my infertility blog.

I have been going to Curves 5 days a week. I started going in August. I have made a couple trips to Arkansas since then but I have lost 12 pounds and 9 inches overall (OCT 12th). Not excited to weigh in on the 12th of Nov, only because I went home for a week, and only worked out once the week I came back. =( Oh, well we all fall off the wagon at some point....but just gotta keep on keeping on.

Oh and we got a cat! She is so cute! Kinda spunky and loves to play! Her name is Zoey and she is 6 months old. We got her in July. She is supposed to be my husbands birthday present, however; since she has spent more time with me, I think she loves me more. lol.

Hope everyone has a great holiday season!!!!

Beautiful life

Its 61 degrees this morning, there is a cool breeze. I am Facebooking, balanced the checkbook, listening to some music and drinking coffee! =)

I just put the awning out on the trailer. I love this life. When I think, geez I am bored, I just remember that I could be WORKING, punching the clock, doing something for someone else, who believes that between 8-5 I should NOT have a personal life, even if I can multitask with the best of them lol.  I have faith that I will get to run my own business. What that will be? I have no clue. I have thought tanning salon, I have thought purse store, I have thought book store......I am just unknown on that part as of now. Which is fine, I have a few things that need to get accomplished prior to striking out on a business venture. =)

Oh man!

We have decided that we are not going to continue on our journey of peeing on a stick and me sitting and waiting for two weeks and being heartbroken when I start my period. We have been using Ovulation Predictor Kits since Nov 2011. Its time to just take a break. Having sex unprotected since 2007 and NOTHING!

Don't get me wrong, we aren't protecting against pregnancy. We are just taking a step back and going to enjoy life, being with each other and just living life.

Let me just say OH man!!! Sex is soooo much more enjoyable when you are not worried about "is this it"??? I can't believe it! We went to the mall yesterday and had such a great time!
We went to Taco Bell and I got our drinks, I sat them down and started reaching for a straw.....BJ came up and said "You didn't get me a lid?" I said "no, I am sorry hunny, you can beat me when we get home" LMAO....there was a guy standing beside him..and he thought it was quite funny! I was floored! I can't believe that I can joke like that lol. I have been soooo serious and so tactical about everything the last four years, I can't believe how great it feels to be free again.

Month 1

We are in a town of oh 4,000 people. The nearest Walmart is 40 miles away. I prefer to shop locally though. They have little trailers that the use for recycling! So I save our card board, plastics, tin cans and pop/beer cans! =)

I thank God every night for this opportunity. I love getting to spend every night with my husband and to me that's worth everything. I mean after all, can't have a baby without him lol.

Yesterday marked my one month anniversary of being a stay at home wife. =) I have done quite well adjusting, I believe. Last week we got our DISH set up, so I can now watch TV. =) My mother in law and I walk 2 miles every morning. I don't believe that I have lost ANY weight! =( I still feel better though getting up and doing it.

After our two mile walk, I come home and drink my coffee, go outside and read and then do my daily chores through out the day. I have noticed that even though I don't "work" my "work" day isn't over till I go to bed.

We went to the pool today! It was so nice. We got in and swam at first then laid out and soaked up some rays! =) Life is good! I love this stress free environment. I enjoy being able to pay our bills on time and still have money left over!

I would really like to learn to sew!! Design purses or clothes or SOMETHING!!!
