I started my weight loss journey in August of 2012. I have lost 54 pounds. I started out with a Curves
Workout three times a week. When my husband was laid off and we went back to working a normal 40 hour week jobs, I went to our local Curves twice a week on lunch. I realized that as long as I got it in during my "work" day, I would actually stick with it.
I loved seeing progress. I loved watching my body contor as my muscles started forming. I know we all have our daily things we have to do. Some of y'all will say, well you don't have kids so it's easier for you. No, it's not...it's just that I am motivated enough to actually do it. Whether you are the type of person that needs to workout in the morning before your household wakes up, the one who needs to do it in the middle of the day ( which gives you the boost of energy that is really great and helps with moods to get you through the rest of the day), or the one who waits till the end of the day to get their workout in and then takes a shower and then sleeps so great they are well rested and ready for the day in the morning. Whatever, works.....just DO IT!
Also, don't "diet" I just cringe when I hear people are dieting. It's a psychological thing. You need to make good food choices. Did I cut out soda? No. Did I cut out fast food? No. I made choices to eat LESS at those places and drink less soda. I still visited McDonald's at least twice a week if not more. You know what I ordered? A crispy chicken wrap, small fries and a water. Plenty of food. You don't need to eat it all just because its brought out to you. Smarter, healthier portions of all the food you enjoy will get you where you need to be.
Good luck and remember just being motivated to move is the first step. Working out can become a habit and it feels amazing!
Here are some pics. I can't believe the difference.

Here a recent "selfie" so you can see the difference in my face.
